i JUST LOVE THIS IDEA FOR A BIRTHDAY PARTY!
An old picture frame will do unless you want to make your own. My
sister-in-law came home to a surprise party her girls whipped up for
her. They strung rope and used wooden clothes pins to hold the photos.
One photo, of which, she immediately took down! We all have that one
school picture we reaaaally don’t like! Awww the awkward years 🙂
This idea would be good for so many other occasions too: Country Wedding,
Family Reunion, Anniversary Party, Sweet 16, even the Office Christmas Party!

Oatmeal Patties

(Please note all amounts are approximates).
3 – 4 cups whole oats
1/4 – 1/2 cup fine chopped onion
1/2 – 3/4 cup fine chopped walnuts
3 eggs
3/4 tsp poultry seasoning
1/2 – 1 tsp salt
1/4 – 1/2 cup milk (I always used to use canned milk, now use whatever we’ve got in the frig). Enough to moisten to hold together to form into patties.
Fry in hot oil.
– Add 1 can mushroom soup, diluted with 3/4 can water or milk. Let simmer until bubbly. Serve with cranberry sauce…
Loves. Mom
I asked my mom to send me this recipe because
I love these patties! I grew up on them…the
smell of them simmering in the big electric
frying pan when I got home from church on
Sabbath is one of my favorite childhood
memories. Hope you enjoy! Add your own
twist to them! Tag me in your post 🙂
To quote Butterball, “IF YOU THINK “PROTEIN SHAKE” MEANS DANCING
WITH A TURKEY BURGER, YOU’RE PROBABLY A TURKETARIAN.”
My big sister, Chrisi, is a Turketarian, and I know she can dance too 🙂
She made these Bacon-Wrappped Turkey Burgers, then had the nerve
to send me pictures….and I’m almost 3 hours away from her! Rude! LOL
Anyway, they look awesome so I thought I’d share them with you.
She used ground turkey to make Beer Can Burger Bowls. Chrisi filled them
with sauteed Mushrooms, Zucchini, and Green Chili, leftover bacon, and wrapped them with
Bacon. She grilled them till they were cooked through, then topped them with Cheese.
They look super=delicious, but because I was too far away to taste them, I’ll just have
to convince you that she is a very good cook and I’m sure they were wonderful!
First, I gathered my ingredients. I don’t have a recipe, because you put what you like in your jar!
I put the dressing, if any, in the bottom, then added the smaller, more dense items.
I like my salad with lots of yummy stuff like olives, sunflower seeds, brightly colored mini peppers, corn cut off the cob, almonds and cheese, just to name a few 🙂
Top off your jars with your favorite greens. I left out tomatoes because their juice makes it runny in a couple days. You can add those adorable little cherry tomatoes, if you want.
I smushed everything down into a pint size Ball canning jar. You can use a larger jar, whichever you have. Put the lids on and into the frig they go. They lasted and stayed fresh for the entire week!
There are lots of ideas on Pinterest, but these are my photos. You are welcome to share 🙂
